Reiki is Japanese in origin and is a technique for relaxation that also promotes healing. The word Reiki is made of two words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". There for, Reiki translates as "spiritually guided life force energy" Reiki is a type of subtle energy work in which healing is performed by the touch of the hands, allowing the flow of the energy from a limitless divine source to the recipient via the Reiki practitioner. It is extremely powerful, yet gentle energy that can be easily channeled to yourself and others by Intention. Reiki is a natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can receive. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki healing is a pure energy form. When it is combined with the sincere Desire of the recipient, who is willing to effect a cleansing within their emotional and spiritual consciousness, a total healing can occur. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, serenity, and wellbeing.

Distant Reiki Healings can also be given without the client being present. It is easily done and works very well. This is because Reiki Energy is not limited by time and distance. The practitioner can use a proxy, visualization or a projection of Reiki energy beaming or a combination of several methods. This is very powerful

The remote healing can be sent to you, someone you love, relationships, situations and events. It can be sent to any place in the world and to any time - there are no restrictions. Also Geographic or time distance between the Reiki practitioner’s healing session and the Reiki recipient has no effect on the quality of the healing.

Ideally, you have given your Reiki Master has a recent photo, your name plus your physical location. It’s nice if you can meditate while receiving Distant Reiki. You may lay on bed or sit quietly. You will probably be aware of the energy through your body, and thoughts for your healing might come to mind. However, awareness and meditation is not a prerequisite for Reiki to succeed. If you can not meditate at the agreed time, just go about your life while the Reiki healing is being sent to you. You only need to give permission and be open to receiving the distance healing for the healing to work. You don’t even need to believe in Reiki for it to work. You may feel warm, tingling, coldness and/or have visual experiences such as colors and geometric paterns during your distant healing session. All are normal. If you felt nothing, or if you fall asleep, it does not mean the treatment was unsuccessful. There are 7 major Chakras in the body. They are energy portals where energy flows. When a Chakra becomes blocked an imbalance occurs. If it is not cleared then illness and disease can manifest.
  1. The First Chakra - Root Chakra located at the base of the spine. It is linked to survival and our ability to ground ourselves in the physical world. Issues of insecurity, safety with regards to money and personal issues can cause blocks in this chakra. Diseases that are connected to this chakra are ailments of legs, hips and buttocks.

  2. The Second Chakra - Sacral Chakra located just below the navel. It is related to our sexual and reproductive capacity and also digestion of food.   3. The Third Chakra - Solar Plexus located above the navel which gives us our personal power in the world. Issues with regards to confidence, self esteem and blockage in this can result in fear and anxiety, affect self image and can be difficult to find a position in the life stream. Diseases that are connected to this chakra are stomach ulcers, intestinal tumours, diabetes, pancreatitis, indigestion, anorexia/bulimia, hepatitis, cirrhosis, adrenal imbalances, arthritis & colon diseases.

  4. The Fourth Chakra - Heart Chakra located at the Heart and gives us the ability to express love. The Diseases that are connected to this chakra are heart conditions, asthma, lung & breast cancers, pneumonia, upper back & shoulder problems.

  5. The Fifth Chakra - Throat Chakra is linked to creativity and communication. If you have not been speaking truthfully what is in your heart, it can cause rigidity and frustration especially in communication.
